
Pawtucket Chapter was organized May 12, 1892,
just two years after the establishment of the National Society Daughters of the
American Revolution. Early members of the chapter included eight “Real
Daughters” whose fathers had been part of the American Revolution. The chapter
became custodian of Daggett House in 1902 and opened it to the public in 1905
after restoration. It has been continuously open to the public since that time
to the present. Chapter members serve as docents on the weekends that the house
is open and give tours by appointment throughout the year. The
