Pawtucket Chapter was organized May 12, 1892, just two years after the establishment of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. Early members of the chapter included eight “Real Daughters” whose fathers had been part of the American Revolution. The chapter became custodian of Daggett House in 1902 and opened it to the public in 1905 after restoration. It has been continuously open to the public since that time to the present. Chapter members serve as docents on the weekends that the house is open and give tours by appointment throughout the year. The Pawtucket Chapter has twice hosted the Rhode Island State DAR event “Patriotic Sunday in the Park” on the grounds of Daggett House.
