For 2010-2011, chapter meetings will be held monthly from September to May except for January and February. In lieu of a February meeting members and guests are invited to attend the Presidents’ Day breakfast. Interested guests and prospective members are welcome to attend all meetings. Oct 14 (Thurs), 11:30 am: East Greenwich Police Department, First Avenue; celebration of the merger of Pettaquamscutt and General Nathanael Greene Chapters and 115th Anniversary of General Nathanael Greene Chapter; lunch will be served.

Nov 16 (Tue), 2 pm: Atria Harborhill, 159 Division St, East Greenwich. Please bring items for the VA Hospital.

Speaker: Karin Sprague, stone carver.

 

Dec 6 (Mon), 11:30 am: East Greenwich Police Department, First Avenue. Annual penny social fund raiser so please bring items. Bring lunch. Instructor: Cynthia Ogren teaching iris paper folding. $2 donation

 

Feb 19, 2011, (Sat) 8:45 a.m.: Presidents’ Day Breakfast, Chelo’s, Post Rd., Warwick (see your state newsletter)

 

Mar. 27, (Sun) 2 p.m.: Atria Harborhill, 159 Division St., East Greenwich; we will honor the Chapter American History and Good Citizen award recipients and their families; light refreshments provided.

Apr 12 (Tue), 2 pm: Newport Library, 300 Spring St, Newport; joint meeting with Aquidneck Island Chapter

Speaker: Maryalice Huggins, author of “Aesop’s Mirror”

 

May 21 (Sat), 10 am: Gilbert Stuart Museum, North Kingstown for a tour ($6 ea) and 6th Annual May Basket Auction (Chapter Fund Raiser). Lunch to follow at Duffy’s Tavern for those who wish to go.
